Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with personal care needs, if required.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
