About the role:
As a SEN Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the unique learning needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities of the SEN Primary Teacher:
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Use creative teaching methods to inspire and engage students.
- Collaborate with the wider school team, including SEN coordinators, to implement effective teaching strategies.
- Build positive relationships with students, encouraging confidence and independence.
- Support classroom behaviour management to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
Requirements of the SEN Primary Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience working with SEN students in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and practices.
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of various SEN conditions.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
