Daniel Owen Agency are currently recruiting for a PTS Survey Technician to join a well-established team based in West Kingsdown, Kent. The role will involve frequent travelling, so a clean UK driving licence is essential. This opportunity is ideal for a junior to mid-level candidate, as the client is happy to offer training and upskilling for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct mechanical, electrical, and civils site surveys, including coring, testing, scanning, and CCTV drainage inspections.

  2. Undertake installation works and ensure accurate survey reporting in line with legislation and company procedures.

  3. Assist with electrical installation testing and commissioning for rail projects.

  4. Collaborate with the survey team to maintain technical standards and support project deliverables.

  5. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

  6. Stay up-to-date with mechanical, electrical, civils, and railway standards and legislation.

  7. Prepare and deliver survey schedules within tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and quality.

  8. Support health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance, as well as assist with audits and other company requirements.



Key Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).

  • Experience with 3D Laser Scanning / Point Cloud Processing (preferable).

  • Valid PTS certification.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain CSCS certification.

  • Cat & Genny Operator certification (preferable).

  • PASMA User certification (preferable).

  • IPAF User certification (preferable).

  • Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD to produce survey drawings and schematics (beneficial).

  • Electrical qualification (beneficial).

  • Comfortable with frequent travel and working outdoors in varying conditions.

  • Basic understanding of surveying principles; experience with total stations, GPS, or other survey instruments is desirable.

  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the role - training will be provided.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
