You will be working for an independent, forward-looking firm that continues to build on its traditional roots and reputation, offering comprehensive compliance and advisory services. Their clients have a wide geographical spread, mainly within the Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Somerset areas, and with a split tax function, the firm is looking to grow their specialist Private Tax team to partner with local solicitors, HNWI's and agricultural clients. This position of Tax Director will involve leading the private client tax department and providing expert tax advisory services. The Tax Director will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of high net worth clients and driving the strategic growth of the tax department. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-level tax advisory services and assist in the development and implementation of strategies for departmental growth. You will ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, build and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with other departments to provide integrated services to clients.The successful Tax Director will ideally have a professional qualification in Tax or Accountancy (ATT, ACA, ACCA, CTA, QBE will be considered) along with proven experience in a tax leadership role within a professional services firm. Excellent knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations will be required, along with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team. You need to have outstanding client relationship management skills and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
