My client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef to join their culinary team. Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Manage inventory and order supplies while keeping cost controls in mind.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Develop and introduce new recipes and menus, reflecting seasonal availability and current culinary trends.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent cooking skills with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations.
- Creativity and passion for food and culinary arts.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
