Direct Response Employment Services are delighted to be supporting a client of ours in Shaftesbury who are seeking a payroll / treasury lead to join the team on a permanent basis.

You will be joining a fantastic company where you will be managing group payroll from start to finish, delivering weekly and monthly payroll to over 150 employees, exceeding 200 employees during seasonal and peak periods.

Key Duties:

  • Managing weekly and monthly payroll for a larger organisation, managing full end to end payroll cycle for 150 plus employees. Including starter and leaver processes.
  • Oversee and process accurate and timely inputting and checking of all payroll data including taxable benefits, absences, bank hours, overtime payments, shift payments and holiday payments.
  • Manage and oversee auto enrolment and pension scheme administration, including processing and reconciliation of company pension deductions. Ensuring mandatory and statutory requirements are met.
  • Process HMRC declarations (P45, P60, Tax/NI reporting etc) and to ensure monthly and weekly reconciliation and submission of HMRC data and real time reports.
  • Keep up to date with payroll rules and legislation changes to ensure the company remains compliant with statutory regulations.
  • Ensure any contractors providing services to the company are compliant with IR35 regulations and advise the company on best practice.
  • Ensure all payments are managed effectively including fuel card payments and statutory payments such as maternity / paternity / SSP.
  • Ensure employee expenses are processed within a timely manner .
  • Support manual calculations and use problem solving skills to support the timely resolution of payroll queries.
  • Produce regular payroll reports.
  • Production of payslips to employees and manage payroll enquiries.
  • Manage and maintain petty cash.

We are seeking a candidate who has previously worked within payroll and has knowledge and experience of payroll laws and regulations. You will be able to understand and take control of calculating deductions such as over payments and calculations in relation to sick pay, maternity, paternity and tax and national insurance.

We are looking for someone who is organised, with good attention to detail and a numerical mind.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with a salary up to 30,000 plus additional company benefits.
