Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, landlords, and trusts, acting as the main point of contact for all personal tax matters
  • Lead compliance work, including preparation and review of complex self-assessment tax returns and trust returns
  • Deliver expert advice on a wide range of personal tax planning matters including IHT, CGT, residency and domicile, trust and estate planning
  • Support and mentor junior members of the tax team, overseeing technical work, sharing knowledge, and managing performance reviews
  • Maintain technical excellence, keeping up to date with evolving tax legislation and HMRC guidance
  • Identify opportunities to grow the service line and cross-sell the wider firm’s services where appropriate
  • Represent the firm professionally at client meetings, networking events, and within the local business community

Candidate Requirements
  • CTA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in personal and private client tax
  • A proven track record of managing high-value personal tax portfolios and delivering quality service
  • Strong leadership skills and experience supervising or managing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, and proactive
  • Adept at balancing compliance and advisory work
