As the Arts Lead, you will:

  • Develop and deliver an engaging and inclusive arts curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering art, drama, and music.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support students with diverse needs, including autism, PDA, trauma, ADHD, ASC, and SEMH.
  • Lead and inspire a team of educators, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external arts organisations to provide students with exciting opportunities.
  • Plan and oversee arts events, exhibitions, and community projects to showcase student talent.
  • Ensure the arts curriculum is mapped across the school, embedding creativity into all areas of learning.
  • Support students in achieving accredited qualifications in arts subjects, preparing them for future opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in special education.
  • A passionate and innovative arts educator with experience in curriculum development.
  • A strong understanding of differentiated teaching methods for students with SEN.
  • A leader who can motivate and mentor staff to deliver high-quality creative learning experiences.
  • A professional with excellent communication and collaboration skills, ready to work with multi-agency professionals, parents, and the wider community.
