Position Summary

As the Team Supervisor, you will be responsible for the operational performance and efficiency of a high performance team of Technicians at our Depot in Crewe
You will be the principle link between the shopfloor and Production Management responsible for the effective return to service of our Fleet of Locomotives
To be responsible for the indirect management of Technicians on the Shop Floor
Provide visible, approachable and exceptional Team/Man Management throughout the shift
To ensure that work carried out to target timescales in line with business plans and Health & Safety protocols
Manage people and assets to deliver / exceed service expectations
To effectively plan with your team, locomotive delivery back in to service to meet Management / Client expectations
To drive and continuously improve a safe and healthy working environment for all colleagues through effective supervision & observation of site compliance, health & safety rules & practices


Person Profile/Experience:

A proven Team Supervisor, you should be able to evidence effective and strong team leadership, ability to motivate a workforce, whilst ensuring that all engineering tasks are carried out on time and in line with business expectations.
Recognise and develop talent, championing inclusion within the workforce
You will support Senior Management with the commercial budget for the Depot, including the cost to deliver and transpose this to your colleagues and Senior Management Team through the provision of clear, transparent and accurate feedback of engineering activity



Key Criteria:

NVQ Level 3 or greater
Excellent Time Management
Proven People Management Skills
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety
Flexible
Excellent work ethic
Good sense of humour
