About The Role

Our Transport Administrators play a key part in our logistics operation. As part of the transport team, you will get involved with all aspects of vehicle maintenance, compliance and administrative duties to ensure all of our customers receive their deliveries on time, every time.

You’ll work closely with our Transport Supervisor and Transport Manager to provide continual support to our fleet, dealing with any issues that might arise whilst ensuring that we remain legally compliant within Transport Legislation.

  • Salary: £12.00 per hour / £25,116.00 per annum
  • Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern 6am- 6pm / 40.25 hours per week
  • Job Type: Full time and permanent contract

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with Transport Legislation, DVSA guidelines and safety standards
  • Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance, servicing and repairs for the trunking fleet
  • Handle tachograph issues and ensure proper record-keeping and compliance with Working Time Regulations
  • Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies related to the fleet, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Manage vehicle defects by supporting the resolution process and taking appropriate action
  • Administer purchase order requests, track related costs, and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with other internal departments as needed to support fleet operations
  • A Few Things About You
  • Strong understanding of road transport and commercial vehicle compliance, including relevant legislation
  • Previous experience in transport and logistics roles
  • Be able to build strong internal and external relationships to support you to deliver your role
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to quickly offer solutions to resolve any issues
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel
