Assistant Management Accountant (6 Month FTC) - Sheffield/Hybrid

A six-month fixed-term contract supporting the Finance Business Partner based in Sheffield. Responsible for delivering quality management information, collaborating with the central transactional finance team, and preparing management accounts, financial packs, and detailed forecasting and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality MI and detailed financial analysis

  • Journals, accruals, prepayments

  • Balance sheet and bank reconciliations

  • Attend monthly meetings with Department Heads

  • Assist with annual budgets and monthly reforecasts

  • Prepare monthly financial packs and contribute to Business Review meetings

  • Produce MI for the European Group Finance team

  • Prepare event settlements, sales reports, and performance trackers

  • Assist with reports for landlords/external stakeholders

  • Process month-end journals and reconcile the balance sheet

  • Support audit file preparation and respond to audit queries

  • Conduct bank reconciliations

  • Prepare workings for VAT returns and other statutory filings

  • Complete FEU and PRS returns

  • Assist with promoter rebates and external stakeholder reporting

  • Undertake ad hoc project work as directed

Skills & Competencies

  • AAT qualification, finance degree, or equivalent experience

  • Advanced Excel skills (macros desirable)

  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities

  • Resilience under pressure with proactive and reactive work skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills
