- Supporting the firm’s audit management.
- Supervising junior team members by delegating and reviewing their work, coaching, and developing them.
- Planning, conducting fieldwork, and completing audit assignments, ensuring progress against budget.
- Preparing annual statutory financial accounts.
- Preparing and/or reviewing corporate tax computations and returns.
- Using CCH ProAudit for audit work and Digita for financial statements and corporation tax returns.
- Ensuring compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.
- Newly or recently qualified ACA or ACCA accountant (or equivalent).
- Audit experience with a medium-sized or large firm handling a range of clients (not PLCs).
- Ideally, you will have experience preparing statutory financial accounts and tax returns.
- Excellent internal and external communication skills.
- Strong staff and time management abilities.
- A willingness to challenge clients and demonstrate professional scepticism during audits.
