Are you someone who loves the variety, autonomy and welcoming culture of a professional and growing SME?
This is a standalone role as Finance Manager / Company Accountant for a £2m turnover business in Sheffield. It’s a result of retirement and you’ll be reporting directly to an approachable, collaborative and modern MD.
Your remit is all things finance! End to end - from point of invoice to presenting the management accounts pack (and everything in between!). It’s busy but deadlines and expectations are sensible (no working weekends or late nights with this one!).
You’ll make a massive impact here - it’s a growing business with circa 50 employees currently. You’ll be inheriting neat and tidy processes but the Directors are also welcoming of new ideas and suggestions to improve controls / reports / ways of doing things. So you can put your own stamp on it but without having to clear up a mess or unravel any chaos!

Required:
- Previous experience of working in a smaller business as number 1 in finance.
- A hands on, sleeves up approach to accounting - you need to be someone who loves getting into the detail of transactions / invoices / bank rec / Vat return etc.
- A positive and calm approach and great communication skills.
- Ability to manage your own time and tasks effectively and autonomously.
- AAT or equivalent ideally.
