A large and iconic private equity backed business in Sheffield have a newly created role of Group Financial Controller

Due to continued growth and success they are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join their dynamic team

Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Group Financial Controller will be instrumental in enhancing the company's financial operations.  This role focuses on ensuring accuracy, maintaining compliance, and improving efficiency in financial reporting and controls. 

  • Implement robust financial controls and procedures across the Group.
  • Drive continuous improvement to the internal controls environment by reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve their efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee comprehensive P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, ensuring adherence to group policies and UK financial regulations.
  • Coordinate monthly Group submissions and maintain strong relationships with divisional finance teams.
  • Produce and manage annual statutory accounts in line with UK accounting standards.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Group CFO and Board members.
  • Manage and mentor a team responsible for treasury, payroll, and accounts payable including 4 heads of departments
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, consolidating inputs across the group and providing key insights to senior leadership.

You will be;

  • Professional accounting qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Proven experience in a senior financial management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
