Sewell Wallis are working with a dynamic PLC in Sheffield with a global presence, looking for a talented Interim Group Financial Accountant on a 9-month interim contract.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial consolidation of group entities. This requires an individual with strong technical expertise and experience in group consolidations, ideally with overseas entities.

What will you be doing?

  • Group Consolidation: Manage the consolidation process for the group, including preparing group financial statements and ensuring compliance with IFRS.
  • Reporting: Assist in the preparation of the year-end and half-year consolidated financial statements.
  • Statutory Reporting: Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage corporate tax matters, working closely with the CFO and external advisors to ensure compliance across the group.
  • Consolidation Model: Maintain and enhance the consolidation model, ensuring accuracy and completeness of journal entries across the group.
  • Cash Flow Management: Prepare and monitor group cash flow forecasts, ensuring efficient cash management across all entities.
  • Interim Financials: Support the preparation of interim financial statements and group reports.

What skills are we looking for?

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong background in group consolidation and IFRS.
  • Experience in a PLC or AIM-listed environment is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in Audit would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage complex consolidations involving overseas entities.
  • Strong understanding of corporate tax and group cash flow management.
