Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a growing SME in Sheffield, looking to hire a Management Accountant for a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and support the finance department during an exciting period of growth.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Financial Controller, managing day-to-day financial transactions, payroll, and working with operational teams to manage budgets and forecasts. You’ll be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and cost of sales analysis. You’ll also provide detailed variance analysis, financial insights, and commentary on business performance to senior management.

You will assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Your role will include maintaining the fixed asset register, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, processing journals, and handling VAT and bank reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of management accounting experience and a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or be qualified by experience. Proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with Sage would be beneficial. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly are key to this role.
