The Opportunity

We are partnering exclusively with Henry Boot, a leading UK land, property development, home building, and construction business, to recruit an Interim Management Accountant.  With a history dating back to 1886, Henry Boot is renowned for transforming land and spaces, creating long-term positive impacts on society, the environment, and the economy. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and project-specific profit analysis.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasts and statutory accounts.
  • Support budget and business plan preparation, monitoring performance.
  • Manage audits, tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS), and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee sales, purchase, and subcontractor ledgers, manage payments, and ensure effective credit control.
  • Coach junior finance team members, improve processes, and enhance financial systems.

The Person

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong financial reporting experience (PQ or QBE with the right experience will be considered.)
  • Skilled in financial controls, compliance, and tax matters.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and reporting tools.
