Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis for a manufacturing and service-based business in Sheffield as they look to bring a Management Accountant into the finance team.Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Software: Sage Line 200 (For the Accounts) and Sage Line 50 (Payroll) Working Hours: 9am – 5pm (Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch)

Please note this role is based on site 5 days a week.

Reporting straight into the Financial Controller, this newly created role will be varied and all-encompassing with duties to include: -

  • Assist in the preparing of Quarterly Management Accounts
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations along with any variance analysis/ commentary
  • Monthly P&L Analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Management of the Fixed Asset register and calculate depreciation
  • Management of overhead costs/ utility costs for 10+ sites
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Prepare bi-weekly sales reports as well as other weekly ad-hoc reports/analysis
  • Weekly/ monthly journals, accruals and prepayments   
  • Process the monthly payroll, including benefit in kind and P11d submission (Also support payroll Year End process)
  • Oversee financial transactions as well as reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Support the Finance Manager as and when required as well as deputise management of the two Accounts Assistants 

Key skills/ qualifications required: - 

  • AAT Qualified/ Qualified by experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in finance/ month end process
  • Good reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience of Sage 200 and Sage 50 Payroll preferred but not essential
