Elevation Recruitment Group's Finance Division is delighted to be working with a well-established charity in the Sheffield area to recruit a Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

This dynamic role will support the charity's operations and development, offering the opportunity to make a real impact. Alongside a competitive salary of up to £32,500, this position comes with an excellent benefits package, including:

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support decision-making
  • Manage financial monitoring, ensuring transparency for stakeholders
  • Oversee payroll journals, account reconciliations, and cost forecasts
  • Support budget holders with financial planning and grant expenditure tracking
  • Assist with the annual accounts and audit process, liaising with external auditors
  • Maintain and develop robust financial systems and controls across the charity
  • Monitor staff allocations and other expenditures on grant-funded projects
  • Produce and manage procurement and asset management procedures

About You:

  • Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proven experience in producing management accounts, ideally in a charity setting
  • Knowledge of FRS102 Charity Accounts and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
