Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a profitable, highly reputable and well established service business in Sheffield that has a strong international presence, operating across 150+ countries. Due to further expansion, they are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join the finance team of 14. This a newly created role at will report to an existing Head of FP&A. They offer hybrid working (3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week from home). Hours of work are 37.5 (9am – 5.30pm) but flexibility can be offered around these times. Please see list of benefits below: -

This Senior Finance Commercial Analyst role offers good visibility across the organisation, partnering with key stakeholders to refine strategic initiatives and lead business intelligence. By delivering real-time financial and commercial insights, you’ll directly influence decisions that drive both performance and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and long-range planning (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Analyse and deep dive into key drivers like pricing, unit economics, and margin optimisation, identifying growth opportunities and risks
  • Provide strategic financial insights by collaborating with the Management Accounts Team, delivering impactful commentary on performance trends and opportunities
  • Finance business partnering with senior leadership team to help shape continued expansion and evolution
  • Working alongside Finance and IT to drive continuous improvements in Driving Management Information.
  • Lead scenario modelling and business case development to forecast outcomes and inform critical decisions
  • Champion process improvements and help develop internal controls that drive efficiency, accuracy, and operational excellence.

To be successful for this role, you will have the following skills and experiences: - 

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc) with proven experience in a fast-paced FP&A environment
  • Extensive experience in Excel and other financial modelling tools
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • A proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis for complex international businesses
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Experience with financial tools such as Excel, Sage (Knowledge of SaaS and Tableau would be advantageous)
