Sewell Wallis are recruiting a Senior Tax Accountant for a Practice based in Sheffield!

The business is looking for a confident individual who has experience handling both corporate and personal tax as part of a small team at a Yorkshire based, well-established Accountancy Practice. The company aim to provide a personal, friendly, and pro-active service applied to all aspects of accountancy, including audit services, personal and corporate tax, management accounting, personal and corporate finance, business planning and payroll services.

What will you be doing?

  • Monitoring the progress of all compliance-based work and reporting directly to the Partners.
  • Involved in delivering wider tax planning and advisory services.
  • Responsible for tax returns, covering the process of collecting necessary data from clients, completion of returns and ultimately billing.
  • Communication with the client, advising of future liabilities and corresponding with HMRC where necessary.
  • Checking and finalising corporate tax computations as part of the financial reporting process.
  • P11D benefits reporting.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Ideally a qualified tax professional (AAT)
  • Experience working in a Practice environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of both corporate and personal tax.
  • Experience managing client relationships and strong communication skills.
  • Understanding HMRC and MTD requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
