Site Financial Controller | Sheffield | c£70,000

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Financial Controller to join a key UK based, multi-site client of ours that have specialised in precision manufacturing solutions, with a rich heritage, to their key clientele in the progressive industries. They now require a Site financial controller to take the helm of their financial operations across multiple of their continuously growing South-Yorkshire manufacturing locations. As a pivotal member of the Site Leadership Team, you will partner closely with the General Manager and drive the financial and operational strategies of the business while ensuring rigorous financial controls are in place to maintain a streamlined upward trajectory.

Key Objectives of the role:

  • Manage all day-to-day financial accounting and reporting for the sites, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate financial transactions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Oversee financial audits, stock counts, and fixed asset management, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and statutory regulations.
  • Provide financial insight, trend analysis, and performance monitoring to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the update of standard costs and collaborate with operations on cost control initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior management and other departments to optimise operational efficiency and drive performance improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, standard costing, and inventory control.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Business Partnering experience, with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage a team.
