Job Overview:An established organisation within the construction sector is seeking a skilled and organised Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join a small but successful team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in accounts, who is looking for a flexible role within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Control:

  • Conducting credit checks
  • Chasing payments and sending copy invoices when needed
  • Issuing monthly statements by e-mail
  • Resolving invoice queries in a timely manner
  • Posting sales invoices onto Sage (uploading)
  • Maintaining and populating cash flow reports

Purchase Ledger:

  • Printing and downloading invoices from Sage and various suppliers (
  • Matching delivery notes to invoices
  • Uploading invoices from Sage and posting them to the ledger
  • Processing supplier and HMRC payments
  • Reconciling accounts where discrepancies arise with supplier statements
  • Filing and organising invoices

General Accounts Support:

  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Raising invoices for wildlife rent

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Sage 50 (Accounts)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with credit control and purchase ledger functions
