Job Overview:An established organisation within the construction sector is seeking a skilled and organised Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join a small but successful team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in accounts, who is looking for a flexible role within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Control:
- Conducting credit checks
- Chasing payments and sending copy invoices when needed
- Issuing monthly statements by e-mail
- Resolving invoice queries in a timely manner
- Posting sales invoices onto Sage (uploading)
- Maintaining and populating cash flow reports
Purchase Ledger:
- Printing and downloading invoices from Sage and various suppliers (
- Matching delivery notes to invoices
- Uploading invoices from Sage and posting them to the ledger
- Processing supplier and HMRC payments
- Reconciling accounts where discrepancies arise with supplier statements
- Filing and organising invoices
General Accounts Support:
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Raising invoices for wildlife rent
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Sage 50 (Accounts)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with credit control and purchase ledger functions
