The Role:
In this role, you will work directly with students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them navigate both academic and social-emotional challenges. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Individualised Support: Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  2. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and provide insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic growth.
  3. Emotional Support: Foster a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to help students manage their anxieties and behavioral challenges.
  4. Communication: Ensure effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s educational journey.
  5. Inclusion: Advocate for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with SEMH needs feel a sense of belonging and support.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience as an SEMH Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with SEMH needs succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
• Previous experience in supporting students with SEMH needs is advantageous.
