  • A market leader in detection instrumentation based in Sheffield are looking for a Chemistry / Physics Graduate to join their development team based at a brand new facility in Sheffield, South Yorkshire to become a QA Engineer.
  • You will be working on products and software that are used in the Life Science and Medical sectors.
  • The group have sites both in the UK and overseas and the Chemistry / Physics Graduate will be joining a passionate and dedicated QA team based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, with a strong focus on the quality and reliability of their software products.

A market leader in detection instrumentation based in Sheffield are looking for a Chemistry / Physics Graduate to join their development team based at a brand new facility in Sheffield, South Yorkshire to become a QA Engineer. You will be working on products and software that are used in the Life Science and Medical sectors.

The group have sites both in the UK and overseas and the Chemistry / Physics Graduate will be joining a passionate and dedicated QA team based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, with a strong focus on the quality and reliability of their software products.

Key responsibilities of the Chemistry / Physics Graduate job:

  • Maintain and perform thorough testing on software using defined test scripts
  • Testing new functionalities to make sure that it is working as intended and report findings  back to the developers
  • Working with software developers and project support teams
  • Performance testing and Functional testing
  • Writing and updating and executing test scripts

Key skills/experience required for the Chemistry / Physics Graduate job:

  • Applicants must have a valid UK driving licence
  • A Degree in a Science related course or experience working within drug discovery / environmental studies
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Problem solving with effective solution evaluations
  • Knowledge of HPLC, GC and other chromatography techniques would be beneficial
