Our client, a small growing engineering business in the Sheffield area, have an immediate requirement for a well versed Quality Engineer ( ideally ) who is proficient with NADCAP compliance.

Overview

To ensure that the companys product and process meet the required quality standards of all interested parties. Where the standards are not been achieved identify the shortfalls and develop corrective measures and implement robust quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for the quality management system
  • Assume responsibility forInternal and external corrective actions.
  • Assume responsibility forcompliance to NADCAP

Kay Tasks

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with NADCAP standards and internal quality requirements.
  • Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing waste, and optimizing processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers to address quality-related issues and ensure their requirements are met.
  • Generate the required standards and documentation for New Product Introduction.
  • Train stakeholders to the required standards.
  • Support the business on its journey to improving EH&S standards.
  • Drive down internal rework.
  • Carry out F.A.I.R for customers.
  • Carry out internal audits to NADCAP check lists and AS9100
  • Ensure all tests are carried out in accordance with SPL test matrix and action any failures.

You will be degree educated in Chemical engineering, quality engineering or a related field.

Ideal candidates will have exposure to NADCAP compliance, but training will be provided for the right person.

This is a permanent position where you will work regular office hours Monday to Friday.

In return you can expect a salary of £40k - £50k dependant on previous experience.
