Quality Engineer-Sheffield

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their team.

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's products.

Essential Tasks:

  • Ability to gain cooperation working with all levels.
  • Technically advise as required from drawings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, as well as customers and suppliers, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to implement preventive measures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis.
  • Investigate and document NCR's in line with company requirements.
  • 8D Reports.
  • Ensure maintained compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ability to manage customer specific projects.
  • Conduct quality inspections internally and externally, if required.
  • ISIR/PPAP/FAIR reports.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Responsibilities as outlined in H&S Policy.

Preferred Tasks:

  • Conduct internal audits in line with the internal audit schedule.
  • Conduct external audits at supplier premises.
  • Conduct gravimetric and particulate cleanliness testing.
  • Understanding of production processes.
  • Use SAP investigations to support QA Activities.
  • Tube Manipulation and hose assembly knowledge for technical investigations.
  • Generating orders for replacements.
  • Raising credits for non-conforming parts.
  • Arranging transport for collection of non-conforming parts.
  • Organisation of returns of product.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

You must have proven experience in a similar Quality Engineer Position

GCSE's

Driving License

Negotiation Skills

Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Engineering Qualifications

Vocational Training QMS Auditor Training - Internal

QMS Auditor Training External

Product Training

Product knowledge in the Hydraulics Industry would be advantageous

SAP
