NDT Technician

Elevation Recruitment Group are representing a key client in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an NDT Technician with some exciting projects in the pipeline. The business are a leading manufacturing business that supply to a variety of industries including nuclear, defence and oil & gas. This role will be based on site Monday-Thursday with the occasional opportunity to travel as and when the business need. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a business with training opportunities and overtime. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Undertake manual Ultrasonic inspections 
• Provide technical advice on matters associated with non-destructive testing
• Produce reports for calibration, inspection and testing carried out on the product
• Perform physical and visual inspection of products using visual and NDT methods
• Perform detailed visit reports on completion of site visits, providing customer feedback and future improvements
• Carry out identification marking of product to ensure product traceability throughout its operational lifespan
• To support the service team through deployment to customer site, potentially worldwide when needed
• To play an active role in the assembly of high-pressure components to customer assets at customer sites around the world
• To provide engineering insight to teams where required and convey better ways of working where improvements can be seen

Qualification requirements

• Level 2 in ultrasonics (castings/forgings) 
• Additional NDT qualifications desirable
• Experience in a similar inspection role
• Skilled in the use of various measuring tools such as micrometres, callipers, gauges etc.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
