Your new companyHays is working exclusively with a well-established business within the steel industry in Sheffield to recruit an Account Manager to join a team of 9.Your new roleYou will be in charge of your own set of customer accounts. This will be fast-paced, varied and quite technical, so, you must want to learn! You will drive repeat business, have the ability to build rapport and work towards achieving agreed sales targets. Orders will come in via email and over the phone. It will be your job to understand what your customer is looking for, price it correctly and convert the quote to an order.

Your role:-

  • To develop trusted relationships with your customers
  • Manage key accounts and deliver excellent customer service
  • Take enquiries, quotes and convert them to orders
  • Deal with queries and provide solutions to problems
  • Liaise with all departments (such as purchasing and the warehouse) to aid the sourcing of material
  • Identify potential new business through proactively working with your customers
  • Account reviews and customer meetings
