Business Development Manager – Machine Protection Doors

Location: Remote (UK-wide) with occasional travel to Sheffield (1–2x/month)Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 (Ideally around £60K) + Quarterly Bonus + Car Allowance

We’re looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of Machine Protection Door (MPD) solutions across the UK. This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking team focused on delivering high-value safety automation solutions to manufacturing, logistics, and industrial sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Grow specifications, sales, and profitability across the UK machine protection door market.
  • Identify and develop high-quality project opportunities, sharing insights across internal teams and wider networks.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with integrators, line builders, OEMs, and end-users to drive project wins.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM, keeping track of opportunities, project documentation, and pipeline updates.
  • Contribute to brand growth through targeted sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on industry trends, market intelligence, and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in machine protection, industrial safety, or automation environments.
  • Excellent commercial and numerical skills for pricing, cost assessments, and margin analysis.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, B2B sales role, ideally within a technical product environment.
  • Self-motivated and confident working independently while contributing to a wider team strategy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; able to analyse specs and produce effective sales presentations.

The Package:

  • Base Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 (aiming for ~£60K depending on experience)
  • Bonus Scheme: Up to 10% of annual salary per quarter, based on performance
  • Car Allowance: £650/month
  • Remote Role: Work from anywhere in the UK, with 1–2 days/month in the Sheffield office
  • Travel: Required for UK customer site visits
