My client is a reputable accountancy practice located in Sheffield, specializing in providing comprehensive financial services to small and medium-sized businesses. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team. The role would be considered on a part time basis as well as full time. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Recording financial transactions in accounting software (e.g Sage QuickBooks, Xero) accurately and efficiently. Preparation and submission of VAT returns . Assisting with weekly and monthly payroll processing on behalf of clients and ensuring compliance with tax regulations Communicating effectively with clients to address inquiries and provide financial guidance.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in an accountancy practice setting however this is not essential. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant qualifications in accounting or bookkeeping are desirable but not essential.
