Quality Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a Global manufacturing business in Sheffield who are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their SHEQ Team. The business serves a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, and has a strong focus on ensuring the safety, quality, and environmental sustainability of its products and processes. Reporting into the Head of QHSE, you will will play an integral role in maintaining the QA and SHE systems within the Sheffield factory and offices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards including ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001. As Quality Engineer, duties & responsibilities include:

• Maintain and audit QA and SHE systems in accordance with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001
• Ensure compliance with relevant product approvals and safety standards
• Support the development and continuous improvement of quality processes, ensuring they meet customer expectations
• Manage the internal audit schedule for QA and SHE systems
• Ensure timely closeout of all non-conformances raised during audits
• Assist with quality control for all production processes, from raw materials to finished products
• Support manufacturing and design teams with problem-solving, root cause analysis, and containment actions for quality-related issues
• Address and resolve customer complaints, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions
• Maintain calibration of all essential measuring and checking equipment, ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and traceable to international standards
• Collaborate with the purchasing and goods-in teams to monitor suppliers and ensure the quality of incoming raw materials

I'm keen to speak with Quality Engineer's with the following skillset:

• Experience in working within the manufacturing sector
• Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, and ISO45001
• Qualification in internal auditing - ISO9001
• Practical experience in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) techniques such as "5 Why," Fishbone Diagrams, etc.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement solutions
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to work
