Business Development Executive

£35,000

Due to internal movement and progression this business is now looking for a Business Development Executive to join the team.

Key tasks include

  • Pursue opportunities to generate Prospects, Enquiries, Quotes and convert to Orders
  • Develop Customer Relationships - Establishing, maintaining and expanding the customer base
  • Provide competitive quotes to maximise our commercial advantage
  • Liaise with Production for lead times and production updates
  • Travel to meet customers and develop business opportunities as required
  • Plan and attend Shows and Exhibitions as required
  • Compile, report, analyse sales figures and contribute to GAP analysis/Cross-Selling
  • Devise strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales target
  • Develop and maintain Price Lists within a Pricing Strategy
  • Collect customer feedback and market research

Required required/desired

  • Capable of establishing and expanding a customer base while maintaining positive and long-term relationships.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, necessary for liaising with customers, suppliers, and team members.
  • A team player who contributes effectively to meetings and supports various departments when needed, such as shipping/logistics and order processing.
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritise administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to Travel: Open to travelling for customer meetings and industry events to promote business growth.
  • Focused on achieving sales targets and motivated by success in a competitive market.
  • Sales Experience: Proven track record in business development and achieving sales targets in an engineering or technical sector.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Skilled at identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, generating leads, and converting inquiries into orders.
