Job Description:

In this role you will:

Play an instrumental role in the technical delivery of the banks cloud telephony solution. Be responsible for supporting engineering teams, platform SMEs and delivery partners in transitioning away from on-premise to cloud hosted voice solutions. Play a key role in driving the technology strategy of cloud transformation while providing a seamless migration journey for end users.

  • Collaborate with various HSBC teams including cybersecurity, architecture, connectivity (networks) among others to ensure a suitable cloud telephony solution for the bank.
  • Formulate a technical migration path, leveraging automation as much as possible.
  • Ensure compatibility between on-prem and cloud solutions including physical phones.
  • Work to deploy a flexible BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) solution as part of our cloud telephony journey.
  • Ensure that regulated users including recorded users can be migrated to the cloud platform
  • Work to develop solutions for complex markets such as China & India
  • Work with programme management to ensure leadership are updated on progress, risks and issues where required.

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

Previous experience in migrating from on-prem/deploying to UCaaS solutions (Zoom, MS, Cisco etc) preferably in the Financial Services industry or global corporate service provider

Working knowledge of telephony specific complexities such as dial plan

  • Experience of common UC platforms such as SBCs, PBXs etc
  • Working knowledge of networking for voice/UC solutions including but not limited to SaaS Proxy, network optimization including QoS, Firewalls
  • Experience of developing automation solutions
  • Experience of API development

Positive and professional attitude, team player, flexible and adaptable, open to change(s)

Ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical stakeholders

Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service

Ability to quickly develop good working relationships with stakeholders
