CLASS 1 DRIVER

WORKING DAYS OR NIGHTS BETWEEN MONDAY - SUNDAY

DAY & NIGHT SHIFTS: TIMES TO SUIT

£14.00 - £17.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are recruiting Class 1 drivers for a well-established client based out of their depot in Sheffield.

We are looking for day and night drivers to work on an ongoing basis, covering curtain side work and fridge work.

Rates of Pay

• Monday to Friday Days £14 per hour
• Monday to Friday Nights £15 per hour
• Saturday £16 per hour
• Sunday £17 per hour

Day to Day Duties

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently
• Trunk runs to depots
• Store deliveries
• Fridge work
• Curtain side work
• Occasional use of tail lift
• Occasional use of pump truck
• Pallet & Cage deliveries
• Follow Company policies and procedures
• Comply with Driving rules and regulations
• Ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed and unit is well presented at all times
• Positive 'can do' attitude

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
• Hold a valid UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a minimum of 6 months experience driving CE vehicles
• Maximum of six penalty points with no major endorsement codes
• Work in a professional manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience operating temperature controlled trailers
• Experience of using curtain side trailers

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on general haulage is desirable

Training

• Driving assessment required
