The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Sheffield area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours: Night shifts across Monday to Sunday, start times between 14:00pm to 19:00pm (10.5-hour shifts on average).
Pay Rates (2 payment options):
£14.60 per hour PAYE.
£16.36 per hour Rolled Up pay.
£26.20 night out allowance if tramping.
Location:Sheffield, S9.
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent.
The role:
Shifts run across Monday to Sunday, with start times between 14:00 PM and 19:00 PM.
Palletised goods deliveries using mostly curtainsider vehicles, with occasional box or fridge work.
Distance work with up to 5 drops per shift, delivering to a range of customers and clients.
Forklift-assisted (fork on/fork off) deliveries and collections, with some self-tip sites.
Occasional nights out for those who prefer longer runs routes can be tailored to suit.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
1 year experience preferred but new passes will be considered as assessments are required.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Successful completion of paid assessment and a 5-hour induction (payment made after your first completed shift).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.
