Key Responsibilities of Design Technology Teacher - Food:
- Craft Dynamic Lessons: Plan and deliver exciting food technology lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged.
- Inspire Young Minds: Teach food technology lessons to students aged 11-16, igniting their passion for the culinary arts.
- Lead Extracurricular Activities: Organise and supervise extracurricular food technology activities and events, fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Monitor Progress: Keep track of student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Create an Inclusive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
- Promote Safety: Ensure health and safety in all activities, teaching students the importance of safe practices.
Mandatory Requirements for Design Technology Teacher - Food:
- Qualified and Experienced: Qualified Teaching Status (QTS), or equivalent certification.
- Proven Track Record: Provide a ten-year career history with relevant reference details covering the last two years, including your most recent place of academic employment.
- Passionate Educator: Experience in teaching food technology is essential.
- Excellent Communicator: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Inspirational Leader: Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in food technology.
- Creative Enthusiast: Commitment to promoting a love for creativity and a curiosity about the world of food technology.
- Desirable Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or training in food technology education (desirable but not essential).
