We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Manager to lead a childrenās learning disability home in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, operation, and development of the home, ensuring it provides a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children and young people with learning disabilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing strong leadership to staff, fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and excellence.
- Overseeing the recruitment, training, and performance management of the team.
- Developing and implementing strategies to meet individual needs and enhance the quality of care.
- Ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards.
- Promoting a child-centred approach, developing personalised care and support plans.
- Advocating for the childrenās rights, ensuring their voice is heard in decision-making.
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure high standards of care and safety.
- Addressing and resolving any concerns or incidents promptly.
- Managing the homeās budget efficiently and ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including families, local authorities, and healthcare providers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing a residential childrenās home or similar environment.
- Knowledge of learning disabilities and the challenges faced by children and young people in care.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver outstanding care.
