Nursery Assistant
Location: S4 area, Sheffield Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm Duration: Immediate Start
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Assistant to join our team at a friendly pre-school in the S4 area of Sheffield. This will be working in the Baby Room.
This role is a temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent. It requires someone who is passionate about early childhood education and capable of supporting our young learners during their critical developmental stage.Responsibilities:- Assist in the day-to-day activities and routines of the nursery.- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging and educational activities.- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.- Help with snack time, including preparation and clean-up.- Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among children.- Maintain a clean, tidy, and stimulating environment.Skills and Qualifications Required:- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, or equivalent qualification.- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.- Basic understanding of child development and early years' education principles.- Reliable and punctual.How to Apply:If you are interested in this rewarding opportunity and meet the above requirements, please send your CV and a brief cover letter to Rebecca English at .Join us in creating a nurturing and joyful environment where children can thrive!
