My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Planning Practice which specialises in Planning, Civil and Structural Engineering, is searching for a Drainage Engineer to join an established team based in Sheffield.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage Designs in respect of S104 and S106 using Microdrainage or infodrainage.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience mentoring team members or managing projects.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage and Infrastructure Projects for residential, commercial and renewable energy projects (battery storage, solar and windfarms) Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategy.

-Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage and Infodrainage.

-Drainage Area Planning.

-Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller.
