A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a well-respected Structural Surveys design team. The role is a technical and operational lead for the regional design team, reporting to the Associate Director. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to innovation and a determination to provide a market leading service and product on behalf of a well-respected client in the Sheffield area. We would also consider a less experienced Structural Engineer for this team at a c£40k salary.

Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of technical quality and service delivery
  • Act as operational and technical lead for the design team, including design approvals
  • Prepare structural design calculations and solutions across a range of sectors
  • Deliver a range of projects from smaller residential to large commerical
  • To assist with business development, driving growth through coaching and mentoring of the design team
  • To provide exceptional customer service, attending site inspections and meetings
  • Adhere to contractual/ Client SLAs, KPIs and TCF principles

Key skills:

  • Min 2.1 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • A substantial level of post graduate structural design experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in industry-standard design software
  • Ability to lead with integrity and work well in teams meeting deadlines
  • MICE or MIStructE chartered status ideal
