As a Senior Commercial & Contract Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing commercial and contract management strategies for a portfolio of spend, aligning them with the strategic aims and objectives of our client. You will provide professional advice on technical commercial matters to senior stakeholders and ensure compliance with budget strategies, regulations, and procurement legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage complex and strategic force procurement projects to meet customer requirements and timelines.Manage strategic business critical contracts and establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers to share risks and benefits.Develop and deliver procurement savings plans for specific categories, identifying quantifiable efficiencies and reporting on progress.Negotiate and influence stakeholders to ensure value for money is achieved.Identify collaborative opportunities for regional and national projects for increased efficiency and savings.Work closely with customers and contract managers to ensure contract performance meets or exceeds expectations.Develop and manage sustainable procurement strategies for specific categories to enhance public confidence.Manage the performance of direct and indirect reports.Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

Previous experience in managing high-value category management and procurement efficiencies.Experience in managing or mentoring staff.Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Diploma & full corporate membership (MCIPS) Level 6 Graduate Diploma.Excellent interpretation of procurement legislation.

Desirable Criteria:

Understanding of the operational needs of the police force.Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex procurement projects.
