Adept are thrilled to be working with a manufacturer based in the heart of Sheffield with PLENTY of exciting new opportunities due to expansion now looking for skilled CNC machinists (Millers or Turners) to join their growing team.
SALARY - £16ph - £19ph DOE - Plus shift allowance
SHIFTS - 3 Shift pattern, mornings, afters & nights.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
- Experience of setting and operating on either CNC Milling machines and lathes.
- Working on either Fanuc or Heidenhain system
- Working on medium sized small batch components, such as fabricated or cast components
- Checking and inspecting own work
- Reading and interpreting engineers drawings
- CNC Milling
- CNC Turning
- Setting, operating and programming.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role
- Proficient in operating CNC machines and using various power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principle
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Proficient in using hand tools for assembly and disassembly of parts
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
