Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team are currently working on behalf of a Steel forgings and castings Engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a CNC Machinist.CNC Machinist
Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Working Hours:  Mornings: 6:00am - 2:30pm Mon - Thurs, Friday 6:00am - 12:00pm. Nights: 8:00pm - 6:00am Mon - ThuSalary: £37,000+
Overview of the role of a CNC Machinist:
- Operating and programming CNC machine tools
- Working to complex engineering drawings
- Machining large steel castings and forgings
- Slinging and crane driving, manoeuvring large components to facilitate machining operations
- Use of Continuous Improvement tools such as 6S to maintain standards
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in using both manual and CNC machines
- Extensive experience in CNC Turning / CNC Milling
- Experience in heavy engineeringÂ
- Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
- Ability to write and understand CNC programs
- Experience of crane driving and slinging is highly desirable
