CNC Machinist
Location: Sheffield
Salary: 17.40 p/h + 11% shift allowance

Day Shift: 6:00 am - 1:20 pm (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri), 6:00 am - 2:50 pm (Wed)
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 pm - 8:20 pm (Mon-Thurs), 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Fri)
Night Shift: 8:00 pm - 6:20 am (Mon-Thurs)

Adept Resourcing Engineering Division are working with a leading engineering and steel production company, recognised globally for their excellence in the design, manufacture, and delivery of high-quality steel forgings and castings.

Operating from a state-of-the-art site in Sheffield, our client is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team. This role will involve operating both manual and CNC machines, with a focus on precision engineering.

Role Responsibilities

Operate and program CNC machine tools.
Interpret and work to complex engineering drawings.
Machine large steel castings and forgings.
Sling and operate cranes, moving large components to facilitate machining processes.
Apply continuous improvement tools (such as 6S) to maintain operational standards.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

Experience operating both manual and CNC machines.
Extensive knowledge in turning, with additional skills in milling and boring being advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Proficiency in writing and understanding CNC programs.
Crane driving and slinging experience is highly desirable.
