Elevation Recruitment is seeking a CNC Machinist for a permanent position with a steel forgings and castings engineering company in Sheffield.
The role involves operating and programming CNC machine tools, working with complex engineering drawings, and machining large steel components.
Candidates should have extensive experience in CNC turning and milling, as well as the ability to read complex engineering drawings and write CNC programs.
The position offers a salary of £37,000+ and requires experience in both manual and CNC machines, with crane driving experience being highly desirable.

Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team are currently working on behalf of a Steel forgings and castings Engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a CNC Machinist.CNC Machinist

Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Working Hours: Days & Nights OR 3 Shift PatternSalary: £37,000+

Overview of the role of a CNC Machinist:

Operating and programming CNC machine tools
Working to complex engineering drawings
Machining large steel castings and forgings
Slinging and crane driving, manoeuvring large components to facilitate machining operations
Use of Continuous Improvement tools such as 6S to maintain standards

Skills & Experience:

Experience in using both manual and CNC machines
Extensive experience in CNC Turning / CNC Milling
Experience in heavy engineering
Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
Ability to write and understand CNC programs
Experience of crane driving and slinging is highly desirable
