Senior Salmon are looking for experienced CNC Press Brake Operators to join our clients growing team!
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC press brake machinery to according to specification. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with precision tools in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components as per engineering drawings.
Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
Measuring fold angles and lengths with appropriate tool, i.e. Vernier or square
Have awareness of blank spaces, bend locations, appropriate tonnage and tooling for each part being formed.
Operate CNC Turret Punch. Select tool with die clearances based on material being punched.
Set up tooling, load programmes and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
Determine condition of tools and point of replace or re-shaping.
Lift raw materials on to the machine bed, remove parts and scrap safely which punching is complete
Conduct routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
Proficient in operating press brake machinery with a strong understanding of tooling requirements.
Experience operating and programmed CNC Turret Punches or Press Brakes.
Must be able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements
Trutops programming experience would be advantageous.
Have an awareness of blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage and tooling for each part being formed.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
Pay rate -
£15.00ph, temp to perm
Working hours -
Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (1pm finish on Friday).
