Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team is proud to partner with a leading engineering company specialising in manufacturing ground drilling equipment. Due to expansion, the business is looking to recruit a Trainee CNC Turner to join their Sheffield-based team.

Trainee CNC Turner

Working Hours: 38 hours per weekShift Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday – Days Only
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the hourly rate
Key Responsibilities:
  • Newly qualified Apprenticeship-trained CNC Turner.
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC Turning machines.
  • Familiarity with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
  • Operate and program CNC Turning machines using Heidenhain or Fanuc controls to manufacture parts to customer specifications.
  • Set up machines, select tools/materials, and read engineering drawings/specifications.
  • Write programs from scratch or edit existing ones as required.
  • Work independently to maintain production schedules with precision.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production runs.
