We are looking for a CNC Turner / Sliding Head & Mill Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to improving their own work and the work of a skilled team. Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. The role includes alternating weekly shifts and provides an opportunity for skill development in machining and programming.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC turning, sliding head, and mill turn machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and create NC programs.
  • Produce high-quality components within tight tolerances.
  • Inspect own work and maintain consistent quality.
  • Work within set deadlines while ensuring safe working practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area.
  • Minimise machine downtime and ensure an effective workflow.
  • Adhere to quality assurance and production standards.

Shift Pattern:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Overtime: Monday-Saturday (1.5x), Sunday (Double time)
  • Breaks: 30-minute lunch + 15-minute breakfast break (if starting at 7 AM or earlier)
  • Holiday Allowance: 26 days + 8 statutory days (34 total)
  • Pension Scheme: Company contribution (3%) / Employee contribution (5%) - auto-enrolment (opt-out available)
